The Gameplay Showcase for Dragon Ball: Sparking Zero has only just dropped and the reaction from fans has been as expected. With many picking their jaws off the floor at what they just witnessed, it may be safe to say that the expectations and hype regarding the upcoming title have ramped up significantly.
No doubt many fans of the popular franchise were deeply saddened by the passing of Dragon Ball creator Akira Toriyama and no doubt he would be very pleased with the latest offering featuring his characters. With stunning visuals and a good look at new characters, hopefully, it is not too long to wait before release.

As can be seen from Social Media site X, the 3rd trailer for the upcoming is the first to show Gameplay for the upcoming title and many fans were left in awe of what was posted by renowned Dragon Ball reporter DbsHype.

Looking at the comments following the posting on X, it appears that anime fans are losing their mind with what they’ve soon. Indeed, one fan went as far as to say that this will be the ‘best anime game of all time’. A bold statement to make but if the visuals from the trailer are anything to go by, it may not be unwarranted.
The character roster looks to be huge and it has been confirmed that 11 players are joining the game the tagline for the trailer was that of power and speed. Going by the characters, some of which are old favorites from the Dragon Ball Z series, fans are in for a treat.
Dragon Ball: Sparking Zero – a fitting tribute
With the recent passing of Akira Toriyama, it seems only fitting in the timing of this trailer release. Following the sadness that millions of fans worldwide felt when this Titan of the anime industry passed, there is now an abundance of joy that his legacy is carrying on with a worthy addition to the game franchise.
The game has confirmed that it is bringing back and enhancing gameplay elements which promises to make it closer to the source material on which it is based. The battles will be quicker and more spectacular, staying true to the anime.
Whilst there may be no confirmed date for release at this time, having watched the latest trailer many fans will be eagerly awaiting any news for when they can finally get their hands on this game. Confirmed to release on the PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and Windows, the 3D fighting game will surely be topping many players’ lists of games to pick up.
