Robert Pattinson’s take on the Caped Crusader in The Batman made quite the wave in 2022 with a terrifying and dark look at Gotham City’s very own vigilante. This unique version of the batsuit has made its way into the Batman: Arkham Trilogy. Previously spotted by players in Arkham Knight, this suit was creating discussions around the sudden appearance of Warner Bros.’s version of the superhero early on.
However, this time around, Nintendo Switch players got an exclusive hold of the batsuit when the game arrived on the console. Batman: Arkham Trilogy arrived on the Switch today on December 1.
Nintendo Players Can Finally Experience the Batman: Arkham Trilogy, Along With the Exclusive Batsuit
The Batman: Arkham Trilogy was a long-awaited title for Switch gamers, considering how the trilogy has made a remarkable impact on superhero games. If you’re looking to play as Robert Pattinson’s version of the caped crusader, do note that the experience will only be available in Arkham Knight. According to the trailer, the suit will arrive across other platforms later on, details of which aren’t as clear at the moment.
The trailer mainly shows gameplay footage and all that players can expect from this highly acclaimed franchise, featuring heroes, villains, and everything in between.
The Arkham Trilogy has three games: Arkham Asylum, Arkham City, and Arkham Knight. These are progressively expansive games that let players explore Gotham City’s deadly environments and criminally overrun alleys and rooftops. As the games progress, we get a better understanding of Bruce Wayne’s origin story as well as the twisted characters he has to go against. The Joker becomes a notable villain, but the games aren’t limited to a single villainous arc.
A wholesome comment on the YouTube video (by user jckspacy) explains the excitement we have for Switch players who are finally getting a taste of the Arkham Trilogy:
While I don’t really play Switch I’m happy that everyone on that system is gonna experience a phenomenal trilogy! The Arkham series is a classic and every comic book fan should experience it once.
While there’s also the much-loved Arkham Origins, unfortunately, it hasn’t made its way into the collection. That one focuses on a spin-off-esque story about some of the most terrifying threats in Gotham City, including the infamous Deathstroke.
Regardless, the three main games have a plethora of content to keep players engaged for hours at end as they explore Gotham City and uncover the many stories (and mysteries) it holds beneath.
Robert Pattinson’s Batman Made Its Mark in the Industry
After the conclusion of Christopher Nolan’s The Dark Knight trilogy, the games too found a loveable home in the legacy now known as Batman: Arkham Trilogy. However, the globally recognized superhero’s on-screen presence has been tried and tested by many different actors, and Robert Pattinson eventually donned the cape too.
The blockbuster success of The Batman was an incredible feat, considering how the movie’s narrative was focused on stories that have been told quite a few times before.
At present, the movie has grossed over $771 million. This made it one of the highest-grossing films to come out in 2022. The Batman took some of the deeper psychological traits and motivation behind ‘the world’s greatest detective.’
The film explored Batman’s grounded pursuits over some of Gotham’s lower-level individuals, including The Riddler and Catwoman, with a narrative that tightly knit Bruce’s journey as a man trying his best to keep up with the demands for his heroism and choosing between right and wrong ways of dealing with criminals.
Robert Pattinson’s batsuit from the movie is an iconic reflection of a familiar story that’s carefully driven by a new perspective. It’s certainly a worthy addition to the suits in Batman: Arkham Trilogy.
