Batman is one of the few superheroes who can still hold ground amongst the superhumans in DC Comics’ roster despite not having any superpowers. However, the vigilante is an expert in combat and tactical skills due to him being extremely proficient in a number of training modules. While his superior intelligence has aided in him beating his foes, his physical prowess is his biggest strength.

Batman is reportedly trained in martial arts from around the world including boxing, Muay Thai, Krav Maga, Brazilian Jujitsu, Taekwondo, Judo, Ninjutsu, wrestling, Wushu, kalarippayattu, and more. While he is trained in earth-related fighting arts, he has also been trained in off-world arts (via Building The Bat).

He has been trained in Kryptonian arts such as Torquasm-Rao and Torquasm-Vo. He has also been trained in a deadly technique called Klurkor. In the comic Batman/Superman: World’s Finest by Mark Waid and Dan Mora, Batman trades blows with a couple of doppelgangers, including that of Supergirl. However, the caped crusader is shown to be at an advantage due to his knowledge of the art. In the comic, he says,

“Did they not have the martial art Klurkor on your Krypton? If they did, seems like only one of us has bothered to learn it.”

He almost defeats the Kryptonian in her own technique devised on her home planet and is only threatened due to being outnumbered by the doppelgangers.

The planet of Krypton is the homeworld of Superman a.k.a Kal-El, who was sent away from the destroyed planet to Earth by his parents. While Superman is considered to be the sole survivor of the planet, many others are subsequently discovered, including the Kandorians. Kandor is a Kryptonian city, which, according to Fandom, was shrunken by Brainiac.

Kandorians are saved by Superman and are kept safe in his Fortress of Solitude while they slowly begin to regain their strength and original size. The residents reportedly devised the martial art of Klurkor. Krypton also had multiple other martial arts such as Torquasm-Rao and Torquasm-Vo, and the deadliest technique Horu-Kanu.

According to the Superman Forum, other characters who have been trained in the art are Superman, Supergirl, and even Lois Lane. The technique was compared to Karate of Earth and was even mentioned to be not lesser than any art of the planet.  The forum members confirmed that Lois Lane learned the art at Kandor, before the events of Crisis on Infinite Earths.
