It’s a bad time for two of the major military shooters, like Battlefield and Call of Duty, but some fans appear to find some silver lining in enjoying them. The latest installments in the Battlefield and Call of Duty series were just two peas in a pod as far as reception is concerned. However, the former appeared to be better in some aspects.
Recently, one video shared on the internet shows Battlefield fans also excels in accuracy, and not just in shooting guns, it seems. Although it has failed to maintain a large user base, the ones still playing are making memories by doing what appears almost impossible. But then, that’s the thing about gamers: they can pull off just about anything there is to pull.
Those Trick Shots Have the Power to Make Any Gamer’s Day
The chase was on in Battlefield 2042, and one of the fighter planes appeared to be closing in and overpowering the rival, but something happened just in time. A rocket appeared out of nowhere, snatching victory from the all powerful of the two. All thanks to the survivor’s teammate, who was there on the ground, keeping an eye on the predator.
In one video clip shared over social media platform X (formerly Twitter), people can see it happening in actuality. Though the clip was shared by a user dubbed DooM49, a video game streamer, he clarified it belongs to another player, namely Slave_Data.

Sending the enemies away before they even touch the ground is one satisfactory act to do in the game. In another clip, one player shared an explosion shot made from the R10 Ghostmaker from a range of 610m. It was just accurate.

And it’s not just the guns or crossbows; players are doing the trick with knives too.

All of these fun trickeries may raise the question among many: why didn’t the game live up to the mark?
Battlefield Wasn’t Always Like This; It Never Failed to Surprise Activision
For the better part of the COD and BF rivalries, Call of Duty has dominated the military shooter genre. However, it doesn’t go without saying that Battlefield games haven’t had their time in the sun. There are many games in EA’s franchise that are deemed way better than the Activision’s series.
Once, there was a time when both publishers were throwing surprises at each other, like in battles from the Dragon Ball series. When players thought CoD was winning with 2007’s Modern Warfare, Electronic Arts came up with Battlefield 3. And such happened several times with other games.
The journey of both franchises almost gives the impression that they share a similar fate. However, Call of Duty is still a step ahead as far as active players are concerned. 72K players are active in the game at press time. Nevertheless, both military shooters are preparing for their next entries in their respective franchises and will probably release the games in the next couple of years.
