Henry Cavill revealed that he is the ambassador of the Royal Marine Charity

Herny Cavill formed a tight-knit relationship with the Royal Marine Corps. Cavill’s brother is a colonel and he is a senior in Royal Marine. The 40-year-old actor has been trying to help the Royal Marine Corps in every possible way. He attends every fundraising event and he also attends most of the events where he is invited. On his brother Niki’s birthday, Cavill penned down his thoughts and wishes for his brother, the Man Of Steel actor wrote,

“Some of you may know that one of my brothers is a Royal Marine. So, I’ve long had a relationship with them, of sorts. It’s also what I would probably be doing if the film industry hadn’t got me first.”

He further added,

“Both of these things led to me becoming an Ambassador for the Royal Marines charity quite a few years ago. An ambassadorship of which I am enormously proud.” 

Cavill reportedly is very close to his brother Niki. He has 2 more brothers Simon Cavill, Charlie Cavill, and Piers Cavill.

Cavill has witnessed personally the hardships of becoming a Royal Marine through his brother Niki, and he is incredibly proud of him. The Black Adam actor has been a long-time supporter of the Royal Marine Corps and their families. In 2014, he participated in the Gibraltar Rock Run and attended honor events as well to help the organization celebrate the Royal Marines’ 350th anniversary.

When Cavill was asked about being a part of the Royal Marine Charity, the 40-year-old actor said,

“I choose to support this charity, not only because of my obvious familial connection but because of the deep respect I have for the Royal Marines as men and as a corps.”
