There were several comments, most of them critical, about her face. Many fans alleged that the Friends actress used Botox injections to make herself look younger. One doctor on Instagram has now weighed in on the allegations against the actress.
Jennifer Aniston was nominated in the category of Best Actress in a Drama Series category for The Morning Show, but the award eventually went to Sarah Snook for Succession. She also serves as the producer of the series, which was nominated for Best Drama Series.
Doctor Weighs In On Jennifer Aniston’s Alleged Plastic Surgery
Jennifer Aniston was trolled by fans on social media after her photos from the Critics Choice Awards were uploaded online. Under Just Jared’s Instagram post about the Derailed actress, fans criticized her ‘new’ look. One fan commented, “Jennifer needs to chill with the Botox!!!”, while another fan criticism read, “I wish Jen hadn’t done stuff to her face. It looks kinda off, like frozen or stuffed.”
Aesthetics doctor, Dr. Jonny Betteridge, took to Instagram to comment about Jennifer Aniston’s alleged plastic surgery. The doctor compared three photos of the Wanderlust actress from 2015, 2019, and the recent 2024 photos. In the 2015 photo, the doctor found no signs of any work done by the actress on her face. He described Aniston’s face as natural and well-proportioned. He even pointed to the lines on her forehead and eye area as signs of a natural face.
Fast forward to 2019, Aniston looked very similar to her 2015 self and the doctor was pretty sure that the Rock Star actress had no work done despite showing no signs of aging. However, the Critics Choice Awards photos were very different from what she looked like five years ago. Dr. Betteridge explained that the difference was visible in the eye area and the midsection of her face.
The doctor attributed these changes to a combination of treatments the actress had done to her face. He mentioned one of the reasons as an eyelid surgery called blepharoplasty. He further added that Aniston could have gotten dermal fillers to the midsection of her face, along with an under-eye filler. He also suggested that she underwent a mid-face lift.
In conclusion, the doctor appreciated Jennifer Aniston maintaining her youthful appearance but strongly believed that she had had surgical and non-surgical work done to her face.
Jennifer Aniston Has Yet To Respond To These Criticisms
The rumors against Jennifer Aniston are not new but the Murder Mystery actress has refrained from making a response. A source close to the actress revealed to Us Weekly (via Yahoo!) in 2018 that Aniston had only undergone a procedure to get her deviated septum corrected. The source added that the procedure was to correct another incorrectly done procedure years prior.
Aniston was vocally critical of Botox and fillers in her 2014 interview with Harper Bazaar Australia. She shared that the pressure in Hollywood for older women to remain ageless was real. She revealed that she had learned from the mistakes of other actresses before her and was determined not to inject anything into her face. Aniston told Harper’s Bazaar Australia:
“There is this pressure in Hollywood to be ageless. I think what I have been witness to, is seeing women trying to stay ageless with what they are doing to themselves. I am grateful to learn from their mistakes because I am not injecting sh*t into my face.”
