According to Screen Rant Rashida Jones was considered by the producers because of her past connection with the Ant-Man actor in the movie I Love You Man, where she took on the role of Rudd’s love interest. Although the reason she was passed up for the part has never been made public, some have conjectured that it may have been due to scheduling issues or a wish to avoid being stereotyped in superhero roles.
Regardless of the reason, it was definitely intriguing to consider how the MCU would have evolved if Jones had portrayed Hope van Dyne.
