Henry Cavill has been in the news for all the wrong reasons, after being dropped from the Netflix series. The Witcher and DCU as Superman. The executive producer Lauren Schmidt Hissrich and Cavill could not work out their differences leading to his exit from the show. Many reports say Hissrich and her team were no longer dedicated to the source material. There are allegations on Henry Cavill for being a jerk to all the women on set.

There is no confirmation regarding any of this but fans have chosen their sides. The Superman actor is replaced with Liam Hemsworth who will pick up the mantle from season four.

In an interview with BBC Radio about Season one of The Witcher Henry Cavill talked in depth about his character and the show. The actor was asked by the interviewer if he felt like ditching The Witcher wrap party.

To this the actor replied,

“Actually tempted because we were it was a very quick turnaround not for the reasons you might think that we had finished we had shot late and almost the Wrap party had actually started by the time we finished shooting and so it was one of those moments where I thought should I just jump in the car and get going. “

The Witcher star wanted to avoid the drama and leave as soon as possible. After season one was Wrapped the actor took to his Instagram to thank everyone for making the first season so memorable.

Henry Cavill has always been passionate about gaming. He was so inspired by The Witcher than he knew this had to be made into a show. Netflix took it upon itself to bring his vision to life resulting in a beautiful, enigmatic, and mythical season that was widely loved and adored. After the season one shoot was over Cavill took to his Instagram to express his gratitude.

“Season 1 of The Witcher has finally come to an end. And although I’m pulling a face here it has been an incredible journey! The cast and crew worked tirelessly throughout, everyone pitched in and brought their A-game to set and I couldn’t be more proud of you all.”

He added,

“Speaking of my immediate team. Jacqui, Ailbhe, and Leah are consummate professionals who worked extraordinary hours to bring the Witcher to life, they were nonstop improving adjusting, and evolving Geralt throughout. Thank you ladies for making this journey a good one. All of those 3 am wake ups were worth it!”

The show was renewed for another season almost immediately after the first season was heavily praised. The Witcher will return for season three. The announcement was made as part of Netflix’s TUDUM event in September 2021.

The cast for season three includes, Freya Allan as Cirilla, aka Ciri, Anya Chalotra as Yennefer of Vengerberg, Joey Batey as Jaskier, Royce Pierreson as Istredd, Anna Shaffer as Triss Merigold and Kim Bodnia as Vesemir
