Ayelet Zurer Really Liked the Set of Krypton

Popularly known for portraying Vanessa Fisk in Marvel’s Daredevil, Ayelet Zurer, featured in the 2013 film Man of Steel as Superman’s mother. Although she loves portraying Vanessa, she also enjoyed working with the Man of Steel director, Zack Snyder.

And not just the filmmaker, the 53-year-old actress also loved the film set for the 2013 action-adventure. During an interview, Zurer shared that she was amazed to see the set of Krypton and costumes from the film. She said, “I was blown away. I even thought of stealing one costume.”

She further shared that the filmmakers made the whole set and a lot of things were real. “It was real, you know, It wasn’t green screen. It was mostly real,” the Vantage Point star shared. She shared the same experience in multiple interviews, saying that she would never be able to “forget walking onto the sets for the very first time.”

“It was one of the most exciting artistic experiences I’ve ever had because you felt like you were really living on the planet Krypton.”

The Losing Alice actress also talked about working with the American film director. She describes the opportunity to work with Snyder as a “true gift” as she described him as “a fun man and a true artist.” Ayelet Zurer also shared how she felt portraying Superman’s mother, Lara Lor-Van, in the 2013 film.

Ayelet Zurer Appreciates Zack Snyder’s Communication Skills

During an interview with Collider, Ayelet Zurer described her experience working with Zack Snyder. While talking about the importance of communication between the actor and director, she praised Zack Snyder for his communication skills. She shared that he has “good communication skills.”

The Man of Steel actress also talked about her character and how she prepared for it. Although she was not able to get her hands on every source material related to Superman, she did her best to prepare for the film. Zurer shared that she liked the character when she went through some “history factor” related to the superhero. The Milada actress also mentioned how heavy her costumes were in the film. However, she still loved them and even wanted to keep some of them.
