When Ben Affleck was first chosen to play Bruce Wayne/ Batman in the Snyderverse, the audience was a negative response from the public. Regardless, when the actor played the role of the Caped Crusader, everyone was in awe, and his portrayal of the character in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice was outstanding. Even though the film was not critically successful, everyone agreed Affleck’s portrayal of the character was one of the positive aspects of the film.

However, the Snyderverse did not meet the expectations of the DC Studios; due to creative differences, the filmmaker and DC Studios decided to part ways. A still from The Flash (2023)

Ben Affleck who will also play the role of The Dark Knight in the movie gave the audience an insight into what to expect from the movie during his exclusive interview with The Hollywood Reporter. The Deep Water actor told how he was tired of the 2017 Justice League having the same ideas and vision which made it “less interesting,” but he figured out how to play the character and he gets the tone right in the upcoming movie.

“The Justice League experience, the fact that those stories became somewhat repetitive to me and less interesting. Yeah, I did finally figure out how to play that character [Batman], and I nailed it in The Flash. For the five minutes I’m there, it’s really great. A lot of it’s just tone. You’ve got to figure out, what’s your version of the person? Who is the guy that fits what you can do? I tried to fit myself into a Batman. And by the way, I like a lot of the stuff we did, especially the first one [Batman v Superman].”

Batman and Flash in The Flash

When Ben Affleck played the role for the first time, it was not perfect, but when he appeared in Zack Snyder’s Justice League he was radically different compared to his first appearance. Thus, it will be a disappointment to have only five minutes of one of the best actors to ever play the role of Batman in The Flash.

Michael Keaton Will Return as Batman in The Flash

During The Flash trailer, we saw that Barry Allen wanted to save his family and as a result, he used his powers to travel back in time and changed the events of the past which inadvertently affected the future. As a result, Barry Allen is trapped in an alternate universe where General Zod has returned and there are no superheroes to save the day. Since Barry Allen has changed the events of the past, it will bring back a different version of Batman and it is none other than Michael Keaton.

Michael Keaton as Batman in The Flash

The addition of Michael Keaton as The Caped Crusader would be extremely beneficial for Andrés Muschietti’s The Flash because the actor is believed to be one of the best actors ever to play the character. The DC fans and critics believe that he showcased Wayne’s conflict and brooding nature perfectly.
