Two of the most debatable and contentious movies that are considered very ‘Christmasy’ by some and completely disregarded by others are Bruce Willis‘ Die Hard and Johnny Depp‘s Edward Scissorhands. Even though both are centered around the holiday season, the former is a hardcore action movie and the latter is a fantasy classic centered around themes of acceptance and self-love.
While both ended up on the Top 20 list of the most-watched Christmas movies in the country, both failed to cross the Top 10 mark. While Die Hard seems to be more of a debatable entry, it is centered around the festive season. Meanwhile, Edward Scissorhands, although strange is set in a wintry setting and its emotional element does make it a Christmas sort of movie.
