Van Damme Almost Joined Fast & Furious, but Vin Diesel Said No

The Fast & Furious franchise is home to some top action stars like Vin Diesel, Michelle Rodriguez, Charlize Theron, Dwayne Johnson, John Cena, and Jason Statham. And there is no doubt that their presence boosted the franchise’s success.

A recent interview revealed that one of the most recognizable action stars nearly joined F9: The Fast Saga (2021). But his presence was blocked by franchise star and producer Vin Diesel.

In an interview with the Telegraph, Jean-Claude Van Damme said he was asked to join the franchise, but Diesel reportedly rejected the idea. As Van Damme said: “They want me in Fast and Furious.”  He continued: “‘No, I don’t want him.'”
