Basically, the song can also be referred to as the feelings of Billie Eilish from Barbie’s perspective. Both the brother-sister duo had a number of new ideas right after they watched the movie, making them come up with the most inspiring things they have ever written.

The Bad Guy singer also made it a point that the song for the movie Barbie should be strictly from the point of view of Margot Robbie’s Mattel character. When the song was completed, the Ocean Eyes artist related to the lyrics on a personal level, without even trying.
