The release of Black Myth Wukong is finally here, and the gaming community already has different opinions about the ambitious video game, especially the performance and visuals. The video game was announced a few years ago, and the gaming community was pleasantly surprised by the visuals and combat, citing the references and direct influences of the Soulslike genre with Chinese mythology. Unfortunately, early adopters noticed something strange, and the performance did not look good for the game developers.

The developers are on the final stretch to get the game up and running, while Game Science has gained the undivided attention of the gaming community after years of anticipation. The PC community has shown unwavering support after the player counts for the Black Myth Wukong benchmark tool trampled the numbers of other popular video games.

Players on the PlayStation 5 platform immediately jumped into the game to see what the hype was all about and were met with a less-than-ideal performance. Early previews have shown smooth gameplay and even compared it to the initial release of Star Wars Jedi: Survivor, which was later fixed after a series of patches. Hopefully, this game will be improved later on.

Not long ago, fans were praising the coldness of the Destined One and complimenting his smooth movement set and animations. The gaming community was eager to fill in the shoes of a cool and powerful protagonist; however, the performance will likely dissuade them from even attempting to approach an enemy in style if the performance does not function as intended.

Fans were bold enough to claim that this game would overthrow Elden Ring regarding the combat; however, early impressions beg to differ and are not doing the game justice. Perhaps the developers could release a day-one patch that will address the performance issues and prevent this issue from getting out of hand.

The game developers are dealt an unfortunate hand and held back by technical difficulties. Perhaps the ambitious nature of the game was too much to handle, especially with unique features like a seamless transition between gameplay and pre-rendered cinematics inspired by the recent God of War games causing problems with the performance.

Technical drawbacks have become a common trend for gaming studios to release broken games upon release. It would appear that Black Myth Wukong is not immune from this problem, and it is a problem that will likely never go away.

Perhaps not everyone will suffer the same fate and have a bad experience upon launching the game. Running into bugs and performance issues is inevitable, but most of these problems and inconsistencies should have been resolved before release; somehow some of these managed to seep through.

Game Science spent years working on this ambitious project and should not take any chances. There is a strong likelihood that the developers are looking into this problem and working on a fix.
