One thing that people have simply fallen in love with, though, is Black Ops 6‘s absolutely bonkers marketing campaign. Now, it appears that Treyarch looks to this sub-series past as well to hype the players up, with a new supposed easter egg uncovered in Black Ops: Cold War.

Although fans have their fair share of things to worry about with the upcoming continuation of the Black Ops sub-series, most signs point to Black Ops 6 being a real treat for fans of the franchise.

Right from the beginning of the “The Truth Lies” campaign, people began to feel the waves of something big in the making, signaling that Activision and Treyarch are putting in some real effort with the game.

What some may have missed, however, is that the developers aren’t just looking to the future, they seem to remember that honoring the series’ past is just as important, which is exactly what the newest discovery in Cold War suggests, too:

Everything, from the OP’s lack of post history and this one discovery coming seemingly out of nowhere, suggests that the Wardial has been retrofitted with an easter egg toward the release.

Interestingly enough, it could also indicate a shadow update for Cold War, perhaps as a way to celebrate fans’ continued support of the game and to celebrate the release of the next Call of Duty game.

Whatever the case may be, it is always a good day when discoveries like this are made years after a game comes out, giving us a boost of excitement and letting us know that even developers over at Activision do care about their works of art.

Here’s the thing: This franchise has cultivated a whole host of problems that have gone unnoticed and unfixed by its developers. As a result, it makes sense why fans have so many thoughts on what the next game will be like even before the release.

That said, it’s important to remember that right now, it’s more or less a situation of “now or nothing” with Microsoft.

Given their recent failures in managing their studios and becoming bloated with its “Activision-ing,” fans think it really needs to hit an absolute home run with Black Ops 6.

Whether or not the game will live up to its promises, only a month and a half from now will reveal as people finally get their hands on it. So, keeping a cautiously optimistic mindset is the way to go from here on out.
