Call of Duty has a dedicated launcher that can be used to access various games in the franchise. Although this seems ideal on paper, navigating the launcher can be a hassle for many. The launcher seems like a jumbled-up version of various games, and anyone who has Call of Duty preorders is going to run into a brick wall.

Almost two years ago, Call of Duty came up with its launcher to put every game in the franchise in one place so players can easily access the desired game. However, introducing the launcher has made the experience rougher for players, as the interface is cluttered and unintuitive.

According to a Reddit user, u/m4st4008, who preordered Black Ops 6, can now download Modern Warfare 3 multiplayer even though the user doesn’t own the game. That said, even if the user downloads the multiplayer, it won’t run since the user doesn’t own the base game.

The user also noticed how the multiplayer would first install automatically and then need to be uninstalled manually. Hence, to reach Black Ops 6, the user must manually sort out the games or their additional content.

Despite the negative reception from players regarding the launcher, it seems developers are sticking with it. Many speculate the launcher is there to improve the overall engagement, reflecting on the active user metrics. Whatever the case, the launcher needs to be reworked or optimized correctly for it to be efficient.

Black Ops 6 Is Going to Be Groundbreaking

While the dedicated launcher might be an issue, the upcoming game is still a top priority for many fans. Although the game will be released in October, the beta will start in August, allowing players to try out the game and the new features involved.

Developers have introduced an Omnimovement system, which is supposed to redefine in-game movement. Players will now be able to sprint and change directions immediately, all while shooting.

Fan favorite theatre mode is also making a comeback. Given how much the feature has been appreciated in past games in the series, this is undoubtedly the right move from developers. Players will be able to record and share their in-game players using the feature without relying on any external app.
