In a recent interview, Chris Pratt hinted at joining the DC warriors and bidding Marvel goodbye. After his takeover, James Gunn is all set to bring a fresh set of actors for new DC heroes. As such, speculations of whom among the Guardians of the Galaxy cast will be joining him on his DC journey have sparked up among fans. With his amazing talent and close friendship with the director, Chris Pratt is obviously at the top of the list.

Especially as Gunn already mentioned that many actors from his Guardians of the Galaxy franchise will possibly be joining him in DC. Although it is yet to be confirmed whether it is time for Star-Lord, aka, Peter Quill to bid goodbye to Marvel, Chris Pratt’s response to the speculations of him joining DC seems positive.

Chris Pratt responds to rumors of joining DCU

As fans know, the Guardians of the Galaxy star shares a close friendship with the director, so his response to him joining Gunn in his DC endeavors is no surprise. Talking to CBR, he mentioned,

I haven’t spoken to James Gunn in any capacity to where he’s offered me anything like that. But listen, I love the guy. You know, he’s one of my best friends. I totally believe in him. And if he calls me, I am answering.”

His witty response and further addition that when it comes to him portraying DC characters, he will let fans choose for him, seems to have sparked a thrill among fans and sent them wondering what character would suit him best. The fan favorite seems to be Justice League’s Booster Gold at the moment, with many claiming that Chris Pratt was born to play Booster Gold. As the actor neither confirmed nor denied anything specifically, it is hard to tell if he indeed will become DC’s Booster Gold.

Chris Pratt to bid goodbye to Marvel?

With speculations of him joining his friend James Gunn on his Justice League adventures, fans are also wondering if this is the last they will see of Peter Quill. Although it is not confirmed yet, it seems highly possible as Gunn already hinted at a major character death in Guardians of the Galaxy vol. 3. The actor’s recent enthusiasm in talking to the director for a potential DC offer seems to have added fuel to that fire. It will be interesting to see if said character is indeed Pratt’s Peter Quill as more details about the movie come to light.

Still, fans are excited to see him as a Justice League character, as Booster Gold to Hal Jordan, the possibilities are endless for him. Moreover, it will give him a chance to present himself in an entirely new Justice League persona, completely different from his Marvel one.
