The latest chapter of Boruto: Two Blue Vortex has opened the frightening possibility of the return of the main antagonist of the Fourth Shinobi War. Chapter 4 introduces readers to Code’s Claw Grimes, four different entities, that have hinted at a link that marks the return of Kaguya Otsutsuki.
After taking over the form of Madara Uchiha, Kaguya was sealed by the combined efforts of Naruto Uzumaki and Sasuke Uchiha with a bit of help from Kakashi Hatake and Sakura Haruno. She lost all her chakra during the fight. However, fans didn’t rule out the possibility of her return and the latest addition to Boruto almost confirms that the Otsutsuki may come back.

Who Are The Four Claw Grimes?
The fourth chapter of Boruto: Two Blue Vortex showcases the main character visiting Kara’s dimension to witness the remnants of the Ten-Tails. Accompanied by Code, Boruto responds in horror when he sees four different Claw Grimes emerging from the area. These “self-aware Divine trees” attack Boruto while Code betrays his partner in the mission.
The abilities of Claw Grimes were seen in Code’s attack in Konoha. One of the Grimes consumed the chakra from a ninjutsu user and grew into a tree alongside the dead ninja. Bug, who was Code’s assistant, was turned into a tree by the Grimes and Chapter 4 depicts that a similar fate was met by Sasuke Uchiha – who had been MIA after the time-skip.
As per their appearances, the four sentient Claw Grimes are considered to be the clones of Bug, Sasuke, Moegi, and Ishikki. The supposed Isshiki’s clone, aka the Flaoting Claw Grime, revealed in Chapter 4 that the self-aware Grimes had such “overflowing curiosity and thirst for knowledge” that they were temporarily overriding the instinct to devour an Otsutski.
Boruto is now in a predicament. Surrounded by the sentient Claw Grimes and betrayed by Code, it would take a miracle for him to get out of the situation. He may even get a first-hand experience of witnessing his father’s arch-nemesis, Kaguya Otsutsuki, returning in his prime.

Claw Grimes Could Be The Medium From Which Kaguya Otsutsuki Returns In Boruto
Boruto: Two Blue Vortex Chapter 4 has confirmed that the new villains possess the Rinnegan ability. Primarily, the chapter showcased the Floating Claw Grime making symbols that were similar to the ability synonymous with Kaguya Otsutsuki. Kaguya is the progenitor of chakra on Earth itself and her third eye used to have the combined abilities of Rinnegan and Sharingan (Rinne-Sharingan).
Moreover, a reference to “all chakra in the world” has led fans to believe that it is a teaser for Kaguya Otsutsuki’s imminent return. The four sentient Claw Grimes could use their combined Rinnegan powers to channel the Six Paths Technique and thereby break Kaguya’s seal. Sasuke. primarily, used to be one of the best Rinnegan users.
Claw Grimes that have gained a consciousness not only possess the memories of their host but also their powers. To add to the troubles, it is thought that thousands of Grimes exist in the ninja world. With Naruto and Hinata being sealed in Daikokuten and Boruto in a massive pickle due to Code, the future seems bleak for the heroes.
