Oppenheimer has achieved a remarkable feat grossing over $717.8 million at the global box office. Now, the movie has surpassed many great movies, but recently, the Nolan movie has outshined a $683 million Spider-Man movie but it’s not Tom Holland’s Spider-Man: No Way Home.

Miles Morales’ thrilling multiversal adventure ended with $683 million at the global box office. That is a significant number considering the $100 million budget. Also, Joaquim Dos Santos, Justin K. Thompson, and Kemp Powers-directed movie that starred Hailee Steinfeld, Oscar Isaac, Shameik Moore, and co. has created an immense fandom. Of course, the popularity of the MCU’s Spiderverse has been one highlighting factor for the astonishing box office domination of these movies, but now, Christopher Nolan’s biographical drama Oppenheimer has crossed the landmark set by Morales’ crawling at the box office.

Out of Nolan’s movie portfolio, Oppenheimer is a bit darker than the rest. Certainly, some of Nolan’s movies have an engrossing and haunting effect, but the Cillian Murphy-starrer movie has intensified the darkness around the characters. “If movies are a sort of collective dream, there’s a sense in which Oppenheimer’s a collective nightmare,” Nolan said of the movie. The success of Oppenheimer was embedded in the director himself as he has never delivered a seemingly bad movie. The movie is still in theaters and could shatter more records in the near future.

Of course, Oppenheimer has more room for growth as the movie is still in showing and doing pretty well even after a month of its release. Still, the Nolan movie has proved to be one of the most successful releases of the year.
