While fans were ecstatic to see the duo on screen again, they were also quick to notice the connections between the film’s title and concept and Quentin Tarantino’s Pulp Fiction. The film features a prominent role from Harvey Keitel who plays a fixer, much like Pitt and Clooney. Keitel’s name in Pulp Fiction was Mr. Wolfe.

Brad Pitt and George Clooney have worked on several films together. Announced in 2021, the film was set to be written and directed by Spider-Man: No Way Home’s Jon Watts, with Pitt and Clooney co-producing through their production houses. The film was reportedly part of an intense bidding war, with the actors speculated to have received at least a $20 million payday each (via THR).

Deadline reported that the film was picked up by Apple TV as part of their long list of star-driven package deals. Though a figure was not revealed, the website reported that the actors were negotiating an eight-figure sum to ensure that the film would get a theatrical release. The film is all set to release on September 20.

The trailer of Wolfs which was released earlier this year revealed that Brad Pitt and George Clooney would be playing lone-wolf fixers who are tasked with covering up the same crime. The two are seen to have a frenemy relationship with some complicated history and a reluctance to work with each other.

Fans Find A Quentin Tarantino Connection In Wolfs

While fans celebrated the return of the iconic duo Brad Pitt and George Clooney in Wolfs, they were also quick to notice one key detail that might connect Quentin Tarantino’s classic film Pulp Fiction. The plot of Jon Watts’ black comedy involves Pitt and Clooney playing two fixers who have to cover up a crime, which is also a key plot element in Pulp Fiction.

In the segment ‘The Bonnie Situation’, characters Vincent Vega and Jules Winnfield accidentally shoot their accomplice and require a fixer. Their boss Marcellus Wallace sends Mr. Wolfe, played by Harvey Keitel to take care of the body and clean the two up. The nature of Mr. Wolfe’s work and the resemblance of his name to the title have led fans to connect the two dots.

Fans were also disappointed at a missed opportunity for Keitel to have a cameo in the film. Both Pitt and Clooney have worked with Tarantino before and the crossing of movie universes would have added a nice detail for the black comedy.

In the movie Pulp Fiction, Harvey Keitel played a character named Wolf. He did the same job that George Clooney and Brad Pitt are doing in this movie. In pulp fiction, the wolf, helped the two main characters, dispose of a dead body, quickly and easily, when they asked the wolf what his job was, he said that he solves problems that regular people can’t think around to solve themselves

Reservoir Wolfs?

The title being a reference to the Wolf from Pulp Fiction is great

While there is no confirmation regarding Harvey Keitel’s cameo in the film, it is still not impossible for the makers to get it done.
