Brad Pitt’s Highest Earning Film Is Deadpool 3

With Brad Pitt having been part of so many projects that were extremely successful worldwide, with movies like Once Upon a Time… in Hollywood, and Mr. and Mrs. Smith grossing around $400 million and $300 million respectfully, it is quite surprising to find out that his most financially successful is Ryan Reynolds’s Deadpool 2, which made $785.8 million, which is a substantial jump from his second highest grossing film, World War Z.

What makes this revelation all the more bizarre is the fact that in this film, Pitt plays an invisible character named the Vanisher, who does not speak and only shows up for two seconds of the 2-hour long film. In this two-second scene, Pitt’s character is electrocuted to death, never to be seen again. This, at the time, was unknown to the audiences, who went to watch the film, only to be surprised to see Brad Pitt himself show up for a couple of frames.

Brad Pitt Got To Work In Deadpool 2 Because Of Fight Club

While many A-list celebrities as famous as Brad Pitt would have said no to this type of role, making a two-second sight gag out of the world-famous actor, the Oscar-winning actor loved the idea of it. He explained that the reason he agreed to take up this project was because of the director of the film, David Leitch.

“Dave’s an old friend of mine,” Pitt explained. “In fact … he was my stunt double, starting with ‘Fight Club’ and all the way up until about [2004]. And then he went off and became a really good director, which is rare. Rare!”

While he is now a well-respected director, known for his work on massive projects like Fast & Furious Presents: Hobbs & Shaw, and Atomic Blonde, Pitt has known him from much earlier. The actor revealed that Leitch used to be his stunt double for many years after they worked together on Pitt’s cult-classic film, Fight Club.
