Brad Pitt Made Marvel Star Chris Evans Cry Like a Baby: “You are made of stone”

Brad Pitt has been shining brightly among other several talented actors in the entertainment world. From initially gaining prominence with his cowboy hitchhiker role in the 1991 film, Thelma & Louise, he continued to move forward solidifying his influence in the industry. Around the same time, he captivated everyone’s hearts with his remarkable performance in the 1994 film, Legends of the Fall.

In a 2015 interview with Rocsi Diaz on The Daily Share, Hollywood star, Chris Evans revealed how Brad Pitt led Legends of the Fall touched his heart and made him cry. He confessed to the film being one of his favorites stating,

“I think it’s the best. It’s one of my favorite movies. If you can make it through the first 30 minutes of that movie without crying, you’re not carbon-based. You are made of stone.”

Edward Zwick helmed epic drama film, set in the early 20th century, revolves around the lives of three brothers who live on a ranch in Montana. Pitt plays the role of the middle brother, Tristan who is quite a rebellious-spirited person.

He was one of the stars that was highly praised for his performance in the film which even earned him his first Academy Award nomination for Best Actor in a Leading Role. The film was also a commercial success grossing over $160 million with a production budget of $30 million. Not just Evans, but even another MCU star, Chris Hemsworth also considers this film of high worth. That film was one of the major reasons why he is into acting.

Chris Hemsworth’s Connection With Brad Pitt’s Legends of the Fall

In a 2020 interview with GQ Australia, Thor star, Chris Hemsworth revealed that the Bullet Train star’s iconic performance in the 1994 film pushed him to pursue acting. He opened up about being completely awestruck by the 59-year-old actor due to his range and on-screen charisma. He shared, “Overnight, it became my obsession” after he took a course at Sydney’s Screenwise film and television school.

It is clear that Legends of the Fall became one of the iconic films in Pitt’s career that not only proved the depth with which he can explore his craft but also continued to inspire generations of stars with his character portrayal. The film also stars Anthony Hopkins, Aidan Quinn, Julia Ormond, and Henry Thomas. It is available on Netflix.
