Brad Pitt and Gwyneth Paltrow met while working on David Fincher‘s 1995 crime thriller Seven. The former couple soon started dating and was constantly spotted together. After dating for two years, the Oscar-winning actor proposed to Paltrow. However, things did not work out for him, and around six months after the proposal, they broke off their relationship.

Despite their break up, they have kept their differences aside and are known to be very good friends. The Country Strong actress has said that there is no bad blood among them, and Pitt has also praised his ex’s wellness and lifestyle brand Goop.

Pitt shared that he does not refer to himself as an actor. Instead, he lists his occupation as self-employed. “I learned that from Bruce Paltrow,” he said before adding, “I always liked it. It’s a humble way to describe what we do.” The actor claimed that it helps give someone wrong ideas and also allows to have a moderate introduction without any misunderstandings.

During a conversation with the Goop founder and his ex, Gwyneth Paltrow, Brad Pitt talked about his Cashmere shirt business he started with jewelry designer Sat Hari Khalsa. He shared that they planned to collaborate after Khalsa designed a Cashmere short for him years ago.

However, the person who introduced Pitt to Cashmere shorts was Paltrow’s late father, Bruce Paltrow. The actor claimed that he had no idea about it until he met the Proof actress and her father. “And you know, the softness comes from Bruce. I didn’t even know what cashmere was till you and Bruce,” he said.

The actor shared that not just about the softness of Cashmere, Bruce Paltrow also taught him several things, from “what a fine bottle of wine means” to “how to experience it.” And the Troy actor states that he really values everything he learned from the late filmmaker.
