Brad Pitt Met His Ex-Fiancé While Working on the 1995 Crime Drama
Brad Pitt has quite the dating profile. He has been in relationships with several Hollywood divas, many of whom he met while working on a film, which also includes his ex-wife Angelina Jolie, whom he met on the set of Mr. And Mrs. Smith.
However, years before the couple tied the knot, Pitt met his plus-one while starring alongside Gwyneth Paltrow in David Fincher’s 1995 crime drama Seven. The duo portrayed husband and wife in the movie, which is still considered to be one of the best mystery crime thrillers. Soon after meeting on the set of the 1995 film, they started dating.
“I knew immediately,” Pitt once said during an interview with Rolling Stone before adding, “I got within 10 feet of her, and I got goofy. I couldn’t talk.” The Iron Man actress has also shared that it was love at first sight for her as well when she saw Pitt on the set of the movie.
And soon they started dating. The ex-couple got engaged two years later. The Fight Club star even introduced his fiancé to his family soon after their engagement. Pitt even stated that he couldn’t wait to marry Paltrow. However, things did not work out in their favor.

Brad Pitt described his engagement with Paltrow as “one of the greatest moments” of his life during an interview with Entertainment Tonight. The former couple made several noticeable public appearances, one of which also included their matching hairstyles. The Goop founder later said that they went to the same stylist for the cut.
During a 1997 interview with Rolling Stone, the Oscar-winning actor said, “I can’t wait, man. Walk down the aisle, wear the ring, kiss the bride. Oh, it’s going to be great.” However, just six months after their engagement, the couple officially decided to split and called off their engagement as well.
While Pitt seemed excited about a future with Paltrow and was looking forward to marrying her, the Emma actress was not “ready.” Talking about their split on The Howard Stern Show, the actress claimed that she was “too young” and was not an appropriate age to make such a decision.
She also said that the Troy star was “too good” for her and has taken the blame for their split on several occasions. However, they have remained good friends, and there is no bad blood between them. The duo even reunited to promote Pitt’s clothing brand, God’s True Cashmere, and reminisced about the time they spent together.
