Bradley Cooper, the actor known for leaving his friends in Las Vegas in a drunken hangover, seems to be surrounded by controversies at the moment. With concerns and questions regarding Cooper’s statements, people are wondering whether the actor dissed Oppenheimer star Cillian Murphy!
Talking about Emma Stone’s latest film Poor Things, Bradley Cooper mentioned a very specific example that seemed too perfect to be just a coincidence. Allegedly taking a dig at Cillian Murphy, Cooper doesn’t seem to believe that Cillian Murphy was ready in six months to shoot Oppenheimer!
Bradley Cooper Allegedly Disses Cillian Murphy And Other Actors!
With the success that Cillian Murphy saw by starring in Christopher Nolan’s Oppenheimer, few actors could have foreseen the beauty of destruction. With Murphy’s iconic portrayal as J. Robert Oppenheimer, the film received rave reviews from around the world.

There are, however, some actors who couldn’t afford to revel in the success of others. As per a recent interview, Bradley Cooper seems to be an actor in the latter category as he allegedly dissed Murphy’s work for the role of Oppenheimer. Implying that putting in six months of work for a role is not real work, the actor seemed to give offense to Cillian Murphy.
“I feel like our movies. You [Emma Stone] couldn’t have made ‘Poor Things’ if you didn’t have a tremendous amount of prep. It’s the same thing with ‘Maestro’. There’s just not…I watch your movie and your performance in it, there’s just no way…this wasn’t like you got a call and then in six months you gotta do it”.
For context, Murphy has often stated in several interviews that he got a call from Christopher Nolan out of the blue, and six months later, they were shooting Oppenheimer. For Bradley Cooper to say these specific sentences, it seems that the actor was indeed trying to get some offense in his statements!
People Didn’t Take Kindly To Bradley Cooper’s Statements!
Taking to X (formerly Twitter), people shared their thoughts on why Bradley Cooper would do such a thing. From blaming his PR firm to stating that his upcoming movie isn’t doing so well, fans took to X to talk about the elephant in the room!
for anyone confused: cillian has repeatedly said in press for oppenheimer that he got a call from chris out of the blue and six month later they were filming so for bradley to say “there’s no way you got a call and in six months you’re gonna do it” feels way too specific for me! https://t.co/jG4FV32Q11

Brad is not all that he believes he is. He doesn’t have the talent of Cillian Murphy. Jealousy is a silly thing.
