Known as the dynamic duo of the Hollywood industry, the pair of Bradley Cooper, along with good friend and co-star Jennifer Lawrence have worked on several Oscar-Nominated films in the past, which makes their bond even stronger. While they have never dated each other as they say that they’re friends and good co-workers, the Passengers star did want to hook up Cooper with a date, who was going to be none other than the Grammy Award winner Taylor Swift.

After being married from 2006 to 2007 to Jennifer Esposito, the American Sniper star has been seen with several female celebrities and stars off-screen. But in 2013, after making Silver Linings Playbook, he and Jennifer Lawrence became good friends, and seeing as he was single at the time, she proposed that she can fix a date for him with the Bad Blood artist if he wanted her to.

While the proposition was an enticing one, Cooper politely declined the generous offer. An insider source at that time told Radar Online that there was one big reason why the star didn’t want to go on a date with Swift. The reason stated was that due to her reputation of being a serial dater, the star was a little wary of going out with her. They said:

“He thinks she’s far too young for him and wants to date someone his own age, not 16-years younger because he’s ready for something serious. It was a little awkward for Bradley. Jennifer came to him and told him that Taylor was interested in getting together. He had to politely decline, knowing full well that Jennifer and Taylor are friends. It was an ambitious move from Taylor, but she’s going to have fixate on someone else as Bradley’s just not that into her.”

Thus, the aforementioned reasons are why Bradley Cooper and Taylor Swift never came to be a thing in Hollywood.
