Moreover, the long periods over which shows or movies are cast, one ought to get attached. Similarly, HBO’s critically acclaimed Succession came to a close after its finale aired in May, making Season 4 the most popular among the other seasons. And it’s not shocking that the on-screen media mogul Brian Cox misses his Roys.

Speaking to host Seth Meyers on Late Night with Seth Meyers, the 77-year-old actor candidly shared the post-Succession dilemma. When asked about how his on-screen kids might be doing in the fictional world, Brian Cox amiably opined,

Well, I think they are struggling in the fictional world. I think they’re doing very well in the real world.”

Succession revolved around mogul Logan Roy played by Cox and the Roy family, owners of global media and entertainment company Waystar RoyCo. The show featured Logan’s three children, Jeremy Strong as Kendall Roy, Sarah Snook as Siobhan ‘Shiv’ Roy, and Kieran Culkin as Greg Roy. Hence, six months after the show’s finale, the Emmy-winning actor expressed his sentiments for the show. Cox admitted,

“It was an extraordinary show to work on, we did really become like a family and we were very, very close, and it’s very odd now. I kind of miss them…because it was the most extraordinary six years. You know, over six years, the whole thing took place. Jesse was just amazing- Jesse Armstrong, who wrote it, the writers, the whole thing. The whole job, it’s probably the best job I’ve ever had.”

Soon after the show concluded, the Scottish actor joined BBC’s online platform, Maestro, to teach and provide tutorials on acting. Significantly, it seems like a good opportunity to make efficient use of his talents, given Cox is a classically trained actor.

“I am thrilled to be collaborating with BBC Maestro and sharing my passion for acting with a wider audience. As an actor, you’re there to interpret the script. It’s only by examining, and fully understanding, the script that you can then have the freedom to develop an intuitive style and deliver every line with authenticity. I hope the advice I share will help you find your place within the industry and provide the skills needed for a decades-spanning career.”

As per the report, courses shall be available to learners on the platform with a myriad of subscription options. Safe to say, with Cox’s age-old expertise, having started teaching acting at the mere age of 24, it will probably be worth it.
