After the show’s first airing in 2018, Brian Cox has had many great lines throughout HBO’s Succession, but he recently shared his favorite one. He played the media mogul Logan Roy, founder of Waystar RoyCo., who also served as the patriarch of the Roy family including his four children, Jeremy Strong as Kendall Roy, Sarah Snook as Siobhan ‘Shiv’ Roy, Kieran Culkin as Roman Roy and Alan Ruck as Connor Roy.
A post going viral on Twitter highlighted Cox’s favorite line from the show, and the fans were impressed. Sadly for the Succession fans, the show concluded after its Season 4 finale episode aired in May. However, the last season became the most popular one among other seasons. With the Roy family still in talks, Cox’s impeccable humor and dramatic skills captured the fans’ hearts.
Brian Cox’s hilarious favorite line
In the second episode of Season 4, titled ‘Rehearsal’, father Roy’s iconic line for his children stood out throughout the show. In a recent interview with Seth Meyers, Brian Cox agreed that it was in fact, his favorite line and he was unsure why he hadn’t thought of it earlier or used it more often. The post on Twitter that sparked the discussion among fans stated,

When pointed out by Meyers in his show, Cox was rather enthusiastic about it. Speaking in Late Night with Seth Meyers, Brian Cox said,
“Well, actually it was my favorite line that I had to say throughout the whole show. I love than line and I just thought: ‘Why didn’t I say it earlier?”
Moreover, the British actor, who now stars in Amazon Prime’s series 007: Road to a Million, complied with the line claiming his children were everything but serious most of the time in the show.

The show primarily revolves around Roy and his four children. When Logan decides to retire from heading the world’s largest media company, Waystar RoyCo., his adult kids try to push in their personal objectives into the business that puts the company’s future at stake.
Interestingly, Cox admitted that he missed his Succession family in the interview with Seth Meyers. Moving on, the actor has now kept himself busy with BBC’s new endeavor online, Maestro, where the he shall provide acting tutorials and tips to help aspiring actors thrive.
