A few days ahead of the release of The Marvels in Korea on November 8th, Brie Larson made a comment on her South Korean co-star from the film, Park Seo-joon, that might rub fans the wrong way.

In the video officially posted by MarvelKorea, which went viral on YouTube and other social media platforms, the Captain Marvel actress commented on the Prince Yan portrayer, saying:

“Park Seo-joon may be the most famous person I’ve ever worked with in my life.”

Although the remark in itself doesn’t say much except that Larson has grown rather fond of Seo-joon, some die-hard MCU fans might get upset over this because of other Hollywood A-listers and Marvel co-stars that Brie Larson has worked with who are more popular than the Dream star–at least in terms of social media, that is.

On one hand, while the What’s Wrong with Secretary Kim? actor has a whopping 25.6 million followers on Instagram, other Marvel stars like Robert Downey Jr. and Chris Hemsworth are way over those numbers on the other hand, with a striking fan following of 57.2 million and 57.6 million followers on the same social media platform, respectively.

However, fan following on social media can’t be the only justification to make someone more popular, as most fans would agree. Furthermore, considering the hype surrounding Park Seo-joon ever since his Hollywood debut with The Marvels was confirmed, it seems like the South Korean actor will be ruling the hearts of Marvel fans as well within little to no time.

While The Marvels hasn’t been receiving too good reviews from fans due to reasons more than one, Park Seo-joon might prove to be useful to the franchise in boosting the upcoming film’s popularity, considering the hype surrounding him and his incredible fan following from all across the globe.

This is evident from the interest numerous fans have shown in the movie ever since Brie Larson’s clip praising Seo-joon went viral. Here is one of the many posts on X that have been discussing the same:

Commenting under this tweet, several fans shared just how interested they are in watching the She Was Pretty actor finally making his Hollywood debut:

Judging from the verge of collapse that the Marvel Cinematic Universe stands at the point, the South Korean star might prove to be useful considering how numerous fans are evidently going to watch The Marvels because of him.

That being said, don’t forget to catch Park Seo-joon alongside Brie Larson in The Marvels, which is set to hit the theatres on the 10th of November, 2023!
