“I think that’s just one of my favorite love stories in general—The part that kills me every time is when they see each other on the train. It makes me sob and sob and sob every time. And it’s so interesting because it really is an epic. It’s such a long film, but it’s a movie I can just watch on a loop. There’s nothing that feels like it’s three hours.”

Upon its release in 2019, Captain Marvel, being the first female-led superhero film, faced criticism for various reasons from certain Marvel fans despite it being a box-office blockbuster. In addition to that, the lukewarm reception of The Marvels from its audience, which could potentially hint at changes in her involvement in future projects, it’s important to note that these are merely speculations. As of now, she is not going anywhere and remains part of the current landscape of the MCU.
