When Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez tied the knot back in July 2022, they automatically became one of the most obvious power couples in Hollywood. One a former Batman, the other a multi-talented Queen of Dance, the two were seen by many to be obvious soulmates.
After all, even after calling off an engagement way back in 2004, they eventually found their way back to each other in April 2021. This was despite the fact that Affleck had married twice during their time apart, with Lopez also walking down the aisle with longtime friend Marc Anthony.
However, despite the number of obstacles that they have traversed through, it seems as if the relationship is back to square one. Not only have constant rumors swirled about another separation in recent weeks, it has also led to fans digging up old videos of the two. One of them, which a fan posted on Twitter, seems to show a frustrated Affleck holding his car’s door for his partner, which has led to a number of reactions on the platform.

The video, originally posted on TikTok by user @moviemaniacs, was reposted on Twitter by @kirawontmiss. It shows Affleck and Lopez back when things were comprehensively better between the two. However, fans who have seen the video believe that the Gone Girl actor actually looked frustrated!
In the clip, viewers can observe a tired-looking Ben Affleck approaching his car, followed by his alleged (twice) former partner. Affleck proceeds to open the door for Lopez, who speedily gets inside. However, the actor then almost slams the door shut in a seemingly impatient manner, before walking over to the driver’s seat, a sullen look firmly perched on his face.
Affleck then looks over to the cameraman filming them, assumed to be paparazzi, and then makes a hand gesture, signaling his frustration at being filmed. Hence, while Twitter users used the old clip to prove that Ben Affleck has been running out of patience when it comes to Lopez since a long time, there is another, obvious explanation at play.
Affleck might simply have been frustrated with the paparazzi and did not appreciate being filmed at a time when he wanted to be left alone. That explanation seemingly holds at least just as much sense as the one fans have come up with!

There are several reasons why the internet seems to have assumed that the two have actually called it quits once again. Affleck was recently seen without his wedding ring while driving to his child’s recital. However, when he was seen picking up Lopez and her daughter Emme a day later, Affleck was actually wearing the ring.
The same has been true for Jennifer Lopez, as far as her recent public appearances are concerned. However, multiple reports have recently claimed that the alleged non-couple are no longer living together. According to TMZ, Affleck has been living in a house located in the Brentwood neighborhood of Los Angeles.
The rumors had initially become apparent when Lopez made a solo appearance at the recently concluded 2024 Met Gala. However, it was then revealed that this was down to Affleck was busy shooting The Accountant 2 in LA, which was the reason behind his absence.
This effectively means that while the rumors may have weight to them, nothing has been confirmed by either of the two celebrities. Hence, fans will simply have to wait for further updates to make their conclusions.
