This was recently proved by the American YouTuber and online streamer IShowSpeed when he was asked about his favorite top 5 anime series.
The American streamer has never shied away from his love for One Piece, but as it is a mainstream show, fans have always doubted his love for the anime world in general. However, Speed proved everyone wrong when he mentioned some of the most underrated anime series of all time on his list.
Fans were not only shocked to hear about his choices but also appreciated him for showing such commitment and zeal, proving that he is actually a genuine anime fan.
IShowSpeed’s Top 5 Favorite Anime
Recently, GQ Sports interviewed the YouTuber and asked him about the ten things that he can’t live without. One of the things that IShowSpeed stated was his biggest essential was his iPad, which helps him catch up with TV shows and YouTube as he is always traveling. However, he uses his iPad mostly for watching anime.
The conversation then moved forward, where Speed was asked about his top 5 favorite anime series.

While he listed One Piece and Naruto as his top two favorite shows, the other three included Black Clover, Kingdom, and Erased. Out of all five, Kingdom and Erased are the most underrated anime series of all time.
He then went on to talk about how he fell in love with anime and One Piece in particular, but what baffled fans was the fact that Speed might actually be an anime connoisseur who does not love the art form because of its growing global recognition but because of the talent, hard work, and unique storylines that form these anime series.
Anime Fans Admit Speed is Not a Casual Fan
Both Kingdom and Erased are not much talked about in the industry, but they might just have one of the best storylines in history. Erased follows the story of Satoru Fujinuma, who gains the ability to go back in time and decides to use it to save his mother from being murdered. Kingdom, on the other hand, is a story about a war orphan who helps a king attain his throne back and then starts his journey as a general for the same king.
The uniqueness of Both Kingdom and Erased stories is not known to many anime fans and IShowSpeed talking about them certainly makes a difference.
It helped him earn the respect of hardcore anime fans as they validated the YouTuber and the two underrated series in the comment section of GQ Sports.

When global influencers like Speed talk about the anime industry, it certainly helps in the growth of the art form and also explains how far it has come. Although One Piece and Naruto have already gained worldwide fame, underrated series like Kingdom and Erased getting recognition truly speaks of their success.
