The movie Warrior, released in 2011, showcased Tom Hardy’s exceptional acting skills and dedication to his craft. In the film, Hardy portrayed a complex character in the world of MMA, delivering a powerful and emotionally charged performance. Gavin O’Connor, the director of Warrior, shared that the two leads of the movie tried their best to justify their characters by going through an intense training schedule. Adding on, the director of the movie revealed how both the leads had to suffer from grave injuries during the shooting of the film. 

“Joel blew out his knee. He tore his ACL. Tommy broke ribs, a finger [and] toes. A lot of black eyes. It was intense. We were trying not to act. That was the goal.”

Tom Hardy Shares About The Injuries Of Him And His Co-stars During The Shooting Of Warrior 

Tom Hardy revealed that he and Joel Edgerton had to take lots of injuries to perfectly portray their characters of MMA fighters. The Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy star shared that Edgerton got pretty broken as he damaged his MCL and little toe. Talking about himself, Hardy shared that he broke his ribs and ligament.

“Joel tore his [MCL], he tore that… and my little toe got broken. I broke my ribs and I tore the ligament in my right hand and then Eric ‘Bad’ Apple had his neck broken… There were some moments.”
