Bullseye became the antagonist for Daredevil Season 3, impersonating Daredevil and committing crimes in his name, as a calculated takedown by Wilson Fisk to destroy Matt Murdock. With the character making a comeback in the show, and Wilson Bethel returning to star as a character, one particular death could be adapted into the MCU, one that is surely bound to leave audiences heartbroken.
Daredevil has seen his fair share of deaths, losing friends and allies to the likes of Bullseye, Mysterio and even Kingpin. He is not above knowing that his loved ones are constantly in danger, such as the multiple attacks on Foggy Nelson’s life by Wilson Fisk, or the numerous times he has found himself saving Karen from danger.

Bullseye is responsible for a devastating death
In the comics, there are a lot more allies for Matt Murdock to lose than in the TV series. Ben Urich is still alive in the comics. Other characters have allied themselves with Murdock and regularly aid him in his crusade against Wilson Fisk. This includes Typhoid Mary, Elektra, Foggy Nelson, his younger sister Candace, and The Black Widow.
However, the most famous of his love interests, and the one that was killed in the comic books, was none other than Karen Page, who died defending Matt from Bullseye. Here, Karen was coping with a drug addiction, having recently broken up with Matt due to his affair with Typhoid Mary, and also coping with other tragedies in her life. She ended up saving Matt’s life, never having the chance to make up with him, something that left the Devil of Hell’s Kitchen devastated.
The MCU already had fake out for Karen Page’s death
Daredevil Seasons 2 and 3 adapted a little from the Born Again storyline in the comics. Another storyline that the series takes some inspiration from is Guardian Devil, where Karen Page is killed in a church by Bullseye. While the circumstances are set up for such a scene to take place, it is Father Paul Lanstom who loses his life, protecting Karen page from a billy club aimed at her.
Father Paul Lanstorm served as a father figure for Matt throughout the three seasons of the show, dying in the same church in which he held mass. Matt repeatedly sought the Father out for advice, and to deal with his guilt. Father Paul remained an important part of Matt’s life, even after his death. Matt would even talk about the impact he had in his eulogy for Lanstom, and how he is the one who inspired Matt to be a man without fear.
