Will Bungo Stray Dogs Recieve Another “Bones Ending”?

Anime fans are familiar with the term “Bones ending.” This signifies some of the changes made to the endings in anime adaptations by Studio Bones. For example, one classic series, Fullmetal Alchemist, got an anime adaptation from 2003 to 2004. The source material started two years earlier, in 2001, and concluded in 2010. That means the first anime’s ending drastically differed from how the plot progressed in the manga afterward. Ironically, Bones also handled the series Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood, a much more accurate adaptation of the entire manga.

Fans of this series are debating on Reddit regarding the fate of the Bungo Stray Dogs anime. Considering that the manga will only progress a little by the time the season is produced or pulled from the series’ light novels. Fans have come up with a theory that states that the anime’s next chapters and potential ending will diverge as part of a sort of Bungo Stray Dogs multiverse.

There are major possibility of Bungo Stray Dogs getting an Anime-Original Finale

We got the fifth season of Bungo Stray Dogs in 2023. This has caused the anime to catch up with the manga as it adapted what was then the entirety of the manga. What’s even more surprising is that further anime episodes are already planned. We still don’t know much about the sixth season of the series.

Although it has yet to be released any time soon, this presents a significant problem in terms of what the next set of episodes for Bungo Stray Dogs will be about. This is one of the primary reasons fans worry about Bungo Stray Dogs getting an anime-original sixth season or conclusion, though it’s not outside the norm for the studio.
