Author J. Randy Taraborrelli had composed a new book titled Jackie: Public, Private, Secret. The book talked about the life of the President’s wife, which featured an incident where she was stunned by the audacity of Marilyn Monroe. The actress was rumored to have a fling with her husband and in a strange turn of events, the actress called JFK.

During an exclusive interview with Fox News, J. Randy Taraborrelli explained that his book was written after hundreds of interviews with friends, family, and lovers. The author stated that Jackie Kennedy thought it to be a cruel prank, and Marilyn Monroe’s voice remained stuck in Kennedy’s memory.

“There was something about that phone call. She later told family members that there was a haunting quality to Marilyn’s voice that really stuck with her… And it’s not like they even had any kind of deep conversation… But it was 10 years of wondering, was it really Marilyn Monroe? And that buzz stayed with the family.”

According to J. Randy Taraborrelli’s book, Monroe asked about JFK and did not state any particular reason for calling the President, this had stunned her.

“Is Jack home?” Kennedy said he wasn’t and then asked who was calling. “Marilyn Monroe,” the caller replied. “Is this Jackie?”

Marilyn Monroe said that she just wanted to say hello. Even though Jackie Kennedy was stunned she stated that she will pass the message to her husband and hung up.
