Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 marks the epic return to real-world historical conflicts, taking players back to the 90s at the height of the infamous Gulf War. The game’s campaign is set to feature spy thriller elements, an expansive Multiplayer mode, and brand-new weaponry.
Activision has finally revealed the upcoming game’s beta dates, and it will be soon that players can experience new maps, the debut of omnimovement, and so much more. Unfortunately, it seems like one of the most popular modes of the franchise won’t be available to test during Black Ops 6 beta.
Black Ops 6 Beta Will Not Feature The Zombies Mode
It’s a known fact that Zombies mode is a staple in the Call of Duty franchise. It was first introduced to us in World At War, playing after the end of the game’s campaign and taking fans in complete shock. Since then, we’ve witnessed the zombie mode come in all shapes and sizes.
It’s already been confirmed that the upcoming Black Ops 6 will feature the much-loved Zombies mode with a return to the classic round-based formula. While that’s great, many in the community are hoping that Activision will give a peek into what Zombies will look like in the game’s upcoming beta period.

There’s a clear reason why Activision doesn’t like bringing Zombies to Call of Duty betas; it simply isn’t the priority. Let’s not forget the fact that the main objective of such testing periods is centered around the core multiplayer experience and server stability.
Even though the franchise has brought us some epic campaign missions and modes, it’s still a series that’s known for its multiplayer aspects in the modern gaming landscape. Through betas, developers gather feedback on the mechanics, balance, and performance of the game’s primary mode.
Suppose Activision brings Black Ops 6 zombies to the beta. In that case, it’s going to be a disaster as it will divert attention from the game’s main aspects and make optimizing the game before launch ten times more difficult for developers.
When is Black Ops 6 Beta Coming Out?
After months of speculation and rumors, Activision has finally confirmed Black Ops 6‘s beta testing phase. This period will allow multiplayer fans of the franchise to get a taste of the game’s brand-new movement system, guns, and maps.
Black Ops 6 will have an open beta release on Friday, September 6, at 6 PM PST, running up to Monday, September 9. This will be an open beta for everyone.
However, if you’ve pre-ordered the game, you can take part in the early access of the beta phase, running from Friday, August 30 to Wednesday, September 4. Activision surely loves incentive pre-orders, and that’s what you need to do to get early access to the beta.
Well, it’s quite sad to see we won’t get to experience the new-generation Call of Duty Zombies in the upcoming beta period, but we still have some of the classic games to revisit for that experience.
