While fans come to expect each yearly entry in the franchise to feel the same, developers have reiterated just how pheromonal Black Ops 6 will be once it releases this year. Over the years, we’ve witnessed the franchise’s anti-cheating methods taking many different forms and approaches. However, the developers have failed to completely eradicate the problem, and for some reason, it gets worse with every new title.

While cheating has been a major source of community outrage, many in the community feel like Activision has completely dropped the ball by not fixing some core issues of the shooter experience, specifically hitbox problems.

If people can’t even trust the accuracy of their weapon in a game that’s based on shooting, they will simply flock to other games.

Black Ops 6 boasts the longest development cycle of any game in the series with this much time and community feedback. Activision needs to fix the core issues of the franchise that’s been plaguing it for years.

Gamers will also be able to participate in an early access phase of the beta, which will run from August 30 to September 4. Access to this early build of the game is one of the benefits of pre-ordering the next title. Even Xbox Game Pass members will be able to participate.

While the mainline games of the franchise have offered beta access that’s been fragmented by different platforms, that won’t be the case this time! Black Ops 6 will be the first title of the franchise, which will bring a cross-platform open beta.

The game itself is all set for a full-fledged release in October 2024. Let’s hope Activision brings us a worthy Call of Duty game instead of the same old boring formula that they’ve been bent on following for years at this point.
