Black Ops 6 is shaping up to be the biggest entry for the franchise and the gaming community has a few requests for the developers to consider. Some players enjoy playing the game for the single-player content while others are here to play competitively in multiplayer and these requests could help.

Some weapons are no longer functioning realistically and the player base has caught on. Weapons like sniper rifles are now being used more often for trick shots than to eliminate hostile threats from a distance and as an alternative for a shotgun which can break immersion.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 has a release date of October 25, 2024.

Activision entrusted the latest installment to both Treyarch and Raven Software and based on the previews and promos, the results look promising. The developers improved the gameplay mechanics by implementing an ambitious movement set called omnimotion for a better gaming experience for Black Ops 6.

However, the gaming community is skeptical about the multiplayer feature of this year’s entry especially about the efficiency of the sniper rifles. One dedicated fan explained how these weapons have become overpowered and glorified shotguns that can do well from a distance and why they need to be adjusted for the sake of the Call of Duty franchise.

Among the requests is one person asking to turn off the emitting spotlight while players are walking with their aim down sights to avoid giving away their locations to enemy players and adjust the damage for a more immersive experience. Some players take advantage of their skills and abuse those under-level or inexperienced which is not ideal for an online multiplayer game.

The developers made some creative choices with Modern Warfare 2 that forced the gaming community to play as if they were real soldiers and survey the landscape to hunt and kill enemies. This idea is good if the goal is to deliver an authentic and accurate experience but it takes away the entertainment factor which is what gaming is all about.

The franchise has nurtured a generation of competitive players but has deviated too far from real life accuracy. Trick shots with sniper rifles can be difficult to achieve in reality and players need to use these weapons with intended purpose like shooting from a distance rather than charging head first and getting lucky.

Treyarch and Raven Software have the opportunity to get the franchise back on track. Perhaps if these changes were made, the players would begin to view the game differently and play properly.

There is likely a long list of opinions, ideas, and suggestions from the gaming community but the snipers should be used with skill, not luck. Players will change their perspective once the developers make the necessary adjustments.

Players rely on snipers for easy eliminations and it is time to change that. The developers need to salvage what they can before the essence of competition is taken away by unrealism. Are you excited about Black Ops 6? Let us know in the comments section below!
