Activision cannot simply let go of the past, as the next Call of Duty game is on the horizon. We know for sure it will be a visual feat and bring some elements to the game it has never witnessed before. But the creators of the game are trying to keep it on last-gen consoles to allow more users to enjoy it.

But that isn’t really in the best interests of fans. They wonder when the company will decide to make it exclusive to next-generation consoles. Whenever it will happen is unclear but it’s not anytime sooner for sure.

Some fans are still disappointed over the fact that it hasn’t happened yet. But they know the reason behind it too. But if the last generation is Team Metal, Activision needs to leave that behind like Price and company did it in Siberian mine, no matter how hard it was.

Call of Duty is one franchise that, lets accept it, no matter what, users are going to play, even if its to criticize how bad the game has become. but they have this hope that it will eventually return to its roots and not become something it is not.

Now about the upcoming game coming onto the last-gen consoles alongside the latest generation, there’s a lot of users still on PS4. We don’t exactly have the number but one statement by Sony claims that nearly 1 million users played Call of Duty only in 2021.

And it has already begun; it seems as though some PS4 users have already gotten access to Black Ops 6. As per these leaks, which indicate that this is the same Beta version that users will get access to in August only.

While this is not really a good thing for the developers, it seems like these lobbies are full of people and not bots. Hopefully, that game will be the same, full of people.
