Round-based zombies are back in Call of Duty, with Terminus and Liberty Falls as a couple of maps to bring things alive. The popular military shooter will be more lively than ever; that’ll just give things a different touch and maybe make things spookier.
Terminus is a coal mining region turned US Naval base that was abandoned around 1932. It was later converted into a top-secret site by the CIA. A lot will be revealed when the users finally get to experience the story. From Grigori Weaver to Maya Aguinaldo, users will get to pick up from multiple operators for the story.
The Upcoming Call of Duty Map Will be Full of Life, and Death
As users get the infamous round-based zombies back, it’s not just the shoot and pop as it has been in zombies. Developers had worked really hard this time to give the maps a makeover that would bring things to life. And then Call of Duty fans will get to experience Project Janus, hopefully.
But what interests fans the most are the NPCs on the Call of Duty map while the outbreak is occurring on Terminus. The new video detailing the map reveals what the upcoming game has in store for them. And the game is rumored to be bringing back a super Easter egg too.
Senior lead designer of the game, Anthony Saunders, explains that,
We’re treating Terminus as a living world, which are just different ways to bring the world to life.
Associate director of design, Kevin Drew, also explains that players will encounter guards dying around them and being eaten alive by zombies. That already sounds chilling.
Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 Will Bring a Range of Zombies Into Play
Users in Black Ops 6 will be encountering a range of hosts that have gone through some monstrous transformations. It’s not just zombies that the users will encounter; some grotesque and tormented horrors are awaiting them.
There’s Vermin that are akin to spiders that the users will find easy to deal with when encountering one of them. However, when united, they can easily make the life of a soldier hell. And they can evolve into another form called Parasites.
Parasites can fly, which may make it difficult for users to deal with them. And they’ve got brains in this form, as they prefer to steer clear of their enemies. Though they will spew acidic bile on them to try to kill them right away.
Manglers and Amalgams will be interesting to fight. While the former roam parts of the island, threatening the users with cannons, the latter is a zenith of body horror. They’ve got some extra limbs that make them appear more intimidating than the other hosts on the island.
We will soon get to dive deeper into the upcoming Treyarch game during Call of Duty: NEXT on August 28. We have already witnessed some of the elements that the game will be bringing upon its release, with fans hoping all of it will restore the former glory of the popular military shooter.
