Hyden Christensen is widely recognized for his role as Anakin Skywalker, aka Darth Wader, in the prequels to the Star Wars trilogy in the early 2000s. The prequels were not well received and widely criticized initially, but they have formed a strong fan base in recent years. Christensen returned as Darth Wader in the Ob-Wan Kenobi TV series and Ahsoka show in 2023.
Apart from being a great actor, Christensen was also a huge gamer before the birth of his child in 2014 and enjoyed playing games like Call of Duty, Halo, and FIFA. His go-to game was FIFA, in which he used to play a lot with Manchester United, as revealed by him during an interaction with Wired. However, his obsession with FIFA is something most Americans have a hard time digesting, as they cannot stand it being his favorite.

During an interaction with WIRED, Christensen was seen answering questions asked about him the most on the internet, and one of them was related to his love for gaming. Christensen revealed that he was a big gamer back in the day but has not been able to continue his passion after the birth of his child in 2014, whom he now co-parents with his ex-wife, Rachel Bilson.
Answering the question about his love for gaming, he said:
I used to play a lot of video games. Not so much any more, ever since I became a dad. I was big into Call of Duty, Halo, and then FIFA. FIFA was kind of my go-to. Manchester United was the team I usually played with.
Christensen was a big-time FIFA fan, as he mentions it as his go-to game in the past, which was not well received by the American public given their disinterest in soccer. Americans do not enjoy soccer as much as other sports like rugby, which is their version of football, and basketball, which is one of the biggest sporting events in the country.
America’s intolerance of FIFA is only understandable as the game has never been a part of their culture; they have always been involved in other sports, with baseball being their national sport, as opposed to many European countries having football as their national sport. This is a clear indication of the difference in America’s culture from countries like France, Spain, Italy, and Germany, where football is one of the biggest cultural events.

As mentioned by Christensen, he left gaming after the birth of her daughter in 2014, which made certain fans curious about what specific Call of Duty and Halo games he would have been playing back in the day.
One cannot know for sure as nothing is officially mentioned by him, but fans are having a lot of fun theorizing that they might have matched up with him while playing Halo 3 during that time.
However, having said this, it is great to see Christensen get the attention he deserves, which was overlooked in the early 2000s when his movies failed to perform well in the market. Christensen has aged like fine wine ever since, and that is proven by his impactful presence in recent Star Wars shows, Ob-Wan Kenobi and Ahsoka.
