The gaming community has been quite indulged with Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 it seems like Activision has been rather fine with the entire ordeal. However, things aren’t looking too bright for the developers as in the past few months, the player count has diminished drastically after receiving significant seasonal updates.
The upcoming Modern Warfare 3 from Activision might change the tide in the community. It’ll start from where 2022’s Modern Warfare 2 events ended. With the release date just around the corner, players have been looking forward to the title. Modern Warfare 3 will feature multiplayer, as without it there is no Call of Duty. Along with that, it’ll present a campaign and Zombie mode in the saga. However, due to a certain trend of Call of Duty games in the past few years, fans have been concerned about a specific issue.

Will Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3 have fewer missions compared to other titles in the franchise?
Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3 would be adapting the extraction style, which implies that players won’t have much time to complete matches, let alone long and twisted campaign missions. Call of Duty Black Ops Cold War had much easier and fewer quests when compared to Black Ops 3 or Black Ops 4. With Call of Duty Vanguard, there wasn’t much to explore on the map, which was something players weren’t particularly fond of. If the upcoming Modern Warfare 3 were to follow the same flow, then players would be rather disappointed. This could also mean that Modern Warfare 3 will have even fewer quests compared to any other game in the franchise. Albeit these are all assumptions at the moment, there have been enough hints pointing towards the prior being a possibility.

Are there chances of the upcoming Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3 failing?
There were rumors regarding the development phase and the premium offerings. It was speculated that there was going to be an expensive DLC expansion. However, there was no official confirmation from Activision themselves. The developers didn’t even stick to their tradition of releasing a new Call of Duty title each year. Activision made it very clear that 2023 was going to be the year for a standalone game.
However, if players were to consider the rumors true, then the probability of a DLC packed with new maps and modes isn’t too far-fetched. Technically speaking, it would be easier for the developers as well since churning out an entirely new game is far more meticulous than developing an extension. The developer of Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3 is Sledgehammer. With the previous project being released recently, the studio didn’t have much time to intricately design another Call of Duty in 2023. Considering fans were expecting a lot from it, including multiplayer, single-player, co-op missions, and the extremely fun Zombies Outbreak mode – it will be rather difficult for the team to develop a game that’ll suit everyone’s demand.
