Though Call of Duty players love taking Kar98K on the battlefield for its accuracy and power, some were complaining about the weapon being overpowered in the game. Sledgehammer Games, the creator of the revamped Modern Warfare series, has heard the feedback of those fans, and now it’ll be making some adjustments to it.
Several other snipers do have a better damage rate than the German bolt-action rifle, but still, players prefer to go for the Kar98K for its agility. Quick scoping is easy while using the gun, in contrast to many. It seems like they need to adjust their hands for other weapons after Sledgehammer incorporates the update.
It’s Time for Call of Duty Players to Reconsider Loadouts
Some Modern Warfare 3 players may want to reconsider their loadouts, and maybe they are going to have to find a new weapon to enter the arena. Sledgehammer Games has confirmed recently that new balance adjustments for Kar98K are coming.
In a reply to one post on social network Reddit, the developer confirmed that they have heard the feedback from the community.

Players are likely to see the changes in Modern Warfare 3 Season 4 Reloaded. Previously, some Call of Duty fans suspected there was something wrong with the weapon. Some in-game weapons that are supposed to be better than Kar98K are being outshined by the marksman rifle.
Fans should be excited to see the changes that will give more weapons a chance to dominate the battlefield. However, a user dubbed Kalei believes that the game will become boring after the update.

Season 4 Reloaded is likely to arrive in a couple of weeks, so Kar98K lovers should experience a difference in the gameplay.
Kar98K May Not Remain as Deadly as It Is Now
The return of Kar98K to the game was confirmed last month, and a few believed it to be from Modern Warfare. While many are accepting the change with open arms, the reactions from the community are mixed, as can be seen in the couple of aforementioned posts.
While the exact details on how the nerf is going to affect the weapon are thin on the ground, it is highly likely the damage will be reduced to some extent. It is kind of a deadly weaponry for medium to long range in the game. We may see the changes carry over to Warzone, but there’s nothing official on it.
When it comes to speed and damage, Kar98K remains the top choice for many. However, even the most skilled players have difficulty while quick scoping against their rivals.
