Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3’s Season 2 is arriving soon, and Reloaded brings with it a ton of new content. This includes weapon enhancements, map and balance changes, fresh cosmetics, and more. Everything seems promising…. right?
Well, not so much for the community, especially those players who have been enjoying the game’s Zombie mode. While the game’s multiplayer playlists stay sharp as ever, players are demanding more updates to the PvE mode, especially a new map that should be added.
Players demand Fortune’s Keep to be added to the Zombies playlist
As of late, there have been a couple of maps in the game that have been a solid part of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3’s competitive playlist. One of these maps is Fortune’s Keep, a compact yet highly detailed environment that is perfect for short to medium-range combat encounters. Do you know what would make this place even better? Yep, Zombies.
Unfortunately, there’s little evidence to suggest that the map will be added to this rotation. Instead, modes like DMZ have been getting all the sweet perks, even though the game mode itself has been a casual choice for people to jump into without committing to a proper skill ceiling.
furthermore, the lack of new content in a particular mode makes it difficult for players to keep looking forward to it. It’s kind of like saying, “We want you to love our game mode, but we don’t care much about it“.
With Season 2, there’s a chance Call of Duty can get its spotlight back again
With every new season, there’s a little silver lining of promise that players will finally get something genuine to look forward to. In the case of Call of Duty, this much-needed silver lining has been teased through multiple new updates Modern Warfare 3 will be receiving as time passes.
Unfortunately, this kind of excitement only stays in the hearts of those who have been enjoying the game’s core content for years now. The solid gunplay, the impressive map, the high skill-ceiling. But, for everyone else, it’s a matter of time before the game modes start to feel stale.
That’s when PvE content like Zombies tends to make a comeback, which so far has been a good decision by the devs but will need proper care and maintenance. Season 2 would have been ideal for more updates to the mode, but only time will tell if the devs manage to do right by it.
