Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 Is Coming With Its Early Access Campaign, But When Will It Be Possible To Access It?

Call of Duty

The third chapter of this recent Modern Warfare trilogy is still a few days away, just over a week to be exact, with an official launch scheduled for November 10. But, Activision will launch an early access campaign a week in advance, right after the open beta, so new players (who have paid) can have the chance to enjoy Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 a little earlier.

This early access to the Modern Warfare 3 campaign will be available to players who pre-ordered the game digitally, whether the standard edition or the premium “Vault” edition. Starting to break down start times across platforms, Windows PC gets early access to the new Call of Duty through Steam and Battle.net, starting at 10 a.m. on Thursday, November 2nd Pacific Time, as an Activision blog post says.

In other time zones, content becomes available on the 2nd at 10 am PDT for the West Coast of North America, 1 pm EDT on the East Coast of North America, 5 pm GMT for the United Kingdom, and 6 am CEST in Western Continental Europe. In times reaching the 3rd, Japanese people will be able to access the campaign in advance from 2 a.m. JST. However, if you are one of the players who pre-ordered the game, you can pre-load the campaign starting at 9 a.m. PT on November 1st.

In this Activision blog post, the publisher did not disclose exact details about the launch time for this early access to Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 on PlayStation and Xbox consoles. But, if we consider the latest release in the franchise, Modern Warfare 2 from 2022, early access was launched at the same time for all platforms, perhaps we can expect the same, or at least something close, but it’s good to keep an eye on any updates.

In another blog post last week, Activision estimated that this access would be released on Thursday, November 2nd. The listings for Modern Warfare 3 on the Xbox and PlayStation digital stores mention this option of playing the campaign “up to a week before” the launch. And although it is subject to time zone differences, we hope that the initial time fulfills the promise made by the publisher.

Now, if you are unfamiliar with what Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 is, but are interested, this game is a direct sequel to Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 from 2022. The Modern Warfare 3 campaign which will be released in advance for whoever paid, accompanies Task Force 141 commanded by Captain John Price. Just like Mortal Kombat, Diablo, and Starfield, Call of Duty is another major franchise launching this year that has opted for a strategy of divergent release dates, favoring early purchase.

Additionally, those who pre-order Modern Warfare 3 will get the Zombie Ghost Operator skin for multiplayer. Now, if you pre-ordered the Vault Edition (more expensive), you will receive the Soul Harvester Tracer weapon blueprint, the Nemesis Operator pack, 2 weapon safes, and the battle pass for season 1, called Blackcell, with 30 level jumps.
