Call of Duty Season 4 will go live later this month and bring a bevy of content onto the field. Activision Blizzard just revealed everything that will be included in the Battle Pass, BlackCell, and bundles.
One addition has left players particularly surprised, as Soap MacTavish seems to have returned from the dead. With his two “Gilded Virus” Skins, he’s bringing some serious Mortal Kombat vibes to the shooter in the upcoming season.

In a post on its blog, Activision Blizzard gave players a detailed overview of all the content and bundles that will be available in Call of Duty once Season 4 launches across Modern Warfare 3, Warzone, and Warzone Mobile.
Among the many Operators, one stands out the most. Soap seems to have miraculously been revived and will be walking among the living once again when the new season drops. As he embarks on his new lease on life, he’ll be donning various skins.
At tier 100, Soap’s revived body will bring Mortal Kombat vibes into the game. The “Gilded Virus” Skin included in the Battle Pass sees the character with red eyes and scarred skin, as the top of his head emits blue flames, reminiscent of the Mortal Kombat protagonist Sub-Zero.
For those who purchase the BlackCell Battle Pass upgrade, the blue flames will be replaced by golden ones. His scars glow in a golden hue, and his black uniform features golden accents. In this version, he is wearing a gas mask quite reminiscent of that of Mortal Kombat’s Scorpion.
The New Season Includes Over 100 Rewards

Besides the tier 100 Soap skin, Call of Duty Season 4 also includes regular skins for the revived Operator. As part of the Battle Pass, players will instantly receive the “Nautilus” skin equipped with diving technology. The all-new Hammer Operator will be available instantly alongside him.
The BlackCell version for all who purchase the premium upgrade has golden accents and a full face mask that emits green gas. Here, his eyes are green with infection. In total, the new season will be packed with more than 100 rewards, including skins, weapon blueprints, base weapons, and more.
Players aren’t particularly happy with all of them, as some of the new Operator Skins could have been taken straight out of a C-list horror movie. This has led many to lament that the series seems to be departing from its traditional ways and following those of Fortnite instead. Season 4 is scheduled to go live on Wednesday, May 29 at 9 AM PT.
