The death of Robert Downey Jr’s Iron Man was a shocker but his family was safe after the event of Endgame. On the surface, the Iron Man franchise did end but the room for the return of Gwyneth Paltrow’s Pepper Potts can’t be neglected. However, there has not been any report of her returning to reprise her role. Recently, when a fan asked the actor about her potential return to the Universe in her Instagram story Q&A series, the Oscar-winning actor revealed the reason in outrage.

“Oh my god, stop yelling at me! We just stopped doing it because Iron Man died, and why do you need Pepper Potts without Iron Man? I don’t know, call up Marvel and yell at them, not me. I’m just sitting here.”

So far, Marvel has no plans for Potts’ return as the studio is yearning to explore the multiverse, grounded and earthly heroes like Potts are very unlikely to return anytime soon. The studio might shout out to the character in some projects if it ever comes to looking back to Stark Industries, the future CEO might just pop up in a cameo.

Scarlett Johansson also ended her tenure at Marvel as Natasha Romanoff after her standalone movie Balck Widow in 2021. The post-Endgame movie depicted the character’s life and family after years of her presence in several MCU projects. But appearing in an episode of The Goop Podcast, Johansson and Paltrow discussed the Iron Man character’s potential return to Marvel. The Black Widow star asked Paltrow about her Marvel tenure and if it ended. “I think so. I mean, I didn’t die so they can always ask me,” Paltrow responded. However, Johansson felt Paltrow had some room in MCU, “I think you may come back at some point.” Casting her doubt the 50-year-old said, “Really? A 64-year-old Pepper Potts? How great.” But Johansson was ever hopeful for her Marvel co-star, “100% that’s happening. I can see it. They’re never gonna let you go. Break out that wig, baby.” Earlier, Paltrow revealed that her age might not be appropriate for wearing a suit for far too long.

“I mean, I’m a bit old to be in a suit and all that at this point. I feel very lucky that I did it because I actually got talked into it. I was friends with Jon Favreau. It was such a wonderful experience making the first ‘Iron Man’ and then to watch how important it has become to the fans,” she told Variety.

But the actor revealed that she would be open to cameos if the studio is open to it. Also, she once revealed that Avengers: Endgame will be her last Marvel film. As there are no current plans for Pepper Potts and her daughter Morgan Stark slated, it is hard to speculate their potential return at this stage but Marvel may surprise fans with their cameo in some projects.
