The Mask star, Cameron Diaz shed some light on her honest feelings for her Back in Action co-star Jamie Foxx’s health issues. The actress expressed her worry about the Toys actor’s poor health.

It has been a while since Back in Action, a upcoming Netflix film starring Foxx and Diaz, began filming. The actress specifically only came out of retirement after Foxx approached her and convinced her to play a role in the film. However, none of them have found the movie’s production to be enjoyable.

Back in Action has not actually been back in action for a while. The cast continued to shoot even after the mystery illness of Foxx was made public. But the film’s status remains unclear even as the lead star goes to recovery.

His co-stars, meanwhile, sent their best wishes after Foxx recently shared in-depth details about his health and recovery process.

Jamie Foxx Spoke About His Health And Recovery

Since Jamie Foxx was admitted to the hospital in April due to a “medical complication”, both fans and his famous colleagues have expressed concern for the actor’s health.

The acclaimed actor, 55, posted a video to Instagram in which he addressed the audience directly. He began by expressing gratitude to everyone who had sent messages and “prayed” for him. He acknowledged how much those good thoughts and vibes meant to him and how they ultimately “brought [him] back.”

 Although he claimed to have a health issue, he did not specify what it was as he said:

“I went through something I thought I would never ever go through.” 

The A-lister admitted that he was aware that many were interested in knowing more about his health, but he said he did not want his fans to see him in such a vulnerable state:

“I know a lot of people were waiting or wanting to hear updates, but to be honest with you, I just didn’t want you to see me like that, man. I want you to see me laughing, having a good time, partying, cracking a joke, doing a movie [or] television show. I didn’t want you to see me with tubes running out of me and trying to figure out if I was gonna make it through.”

Jamie Foxx sent special thanks to his sister, Deidra Dixon, and daughter, saying that they “saved my life.”

Cameron Diaz Praised Jamie Foxx After His Recovery

Cameron Diaz was one of the first famous people to send her wishes when Jamie Foxx finally spoke out about being hospitalized.

Moreover, other notable figures like Jeremy Renner, Viola Davis, Reese Witherspoon, Will Smith, and Justin Timberlake were among the celebrities who have praised the Shade actor after he revealed for the first time that he was hospitalized for an undisclosed health issue.

Diaz, who also co-starred with Foxx in the 2014 musical film, Annie, wrote: 

“The world needs your power. . your light .. your strength… So happy to see you’re back my friend.”

Foxx’s co-star in the Netflix upcoming film, Back In Action, Glenn Close, also praised the actor’s “heart, soul” as she wrote:

“Dear Jamie, The last time I saw you was on a sunny day when you were laughing, throwing a football, graciously letting some extras take selfies with you…giving your heart, soul and joy completely in the moment. Thank God you are back! Thank God your family gave you the love and protection you needed to heal.”

However, it is Back in Action, which is the one that has garnered the most interest, and that will probably continue until the film is actually released. 

The Netflix release date for the upcoming action comedy film, Back in Action, which is directed by Seth Gordon, is not yet known.
