Actor Keanu Reeves, who starred in Constantine (2005), made his first remarks about Constantine 2’s development at Warner Bros. The actor continued, “I kept asking almost every year. I’d be like, ‘Can I please?’ [and] they’d be like, ‘No, no!'”

It was Reeves’ relentless insistence that finally DC had to give in. The first film did not do well in terms of Box Office collections or critic reviews. The studio is relying on Reeves’ stardom to bring in footfall.
